An arrangement has been made with the South Bend Medical Foundation so that we may donate blood in honor of Jonathon! Please check out their website to make an appointment or for donation locations http://www.givebloodnow.com/ or call (574)234-1157.
For each donation made in his honor, a card will be sent to Jonathon notifying him that you have donated blood. All you have to do is go to any SBMF location to donate blood and give them his name and address (25558 Serenity Drive, SB, IN 46628); they will take care of the rest. Giving blood is a great way to show Jonathon your support.

FYI: I just returned from donating at the Edison SBMF location. They didn't know anything about this so you may need to take the information with you when you go. They gave me card to send Jonathon. This is really a very painless way of helping so I encourage everyone to donate.
ReplyDeleteI spoke to the SBMF and they said all you have to do is give them Jonathon's name and tell them you are donating in honor of him.
ReplyDeleteI had a similar experience to what Marcy describes, also at the Edison location. I was persistent until they found someone that knew what I was talking about.
ReplyDeleteIf you've never given blood before it really isn't that bad. It's certainly a lot easier than the spinal taps or bone marrow sample or chemo that Jonathon is going through daily.
